The Super Stars Daycare implemented a superior curriculum beginning in our infant classrooms. This curriculum is designed to expose infants to experiences that will promote and enhance social/emotional, language and cognitive skills, as well as gross and fine motor development skill. The infant playroom has been designed to ensure safety and security that allows each infant to be on his or her own schedule. Rooms is warm, enriched, and welcoming to children and parents alike. In our room Infants, can explore in our large open spaces. Toys are accessible on open shelves in well-defined areas. We have texture in the learning environment with a variety of surfaces and finishes. Room colors, wall hangings, pictures, etc. reflect cultural diversity. Furniture are stable to allow infants to practice their motor skills.
We understand and believe that toddlers are explorers and active learners. Our teachers develop a variety of hands-on learning experiences for every child. Each week the curriculum provides goal sand objectives appropriate to their age group. The teaching staff use these goals and objectives to plan activities to guide each toddler’s learning and growth.
All of our classrooms are furnished with developmentally appropriate equipment and toys to provide toddlers with the materials they need to explore and learn. They also feature separate diaper changing and food prep stations to maintain the healthiest environment possible. Our toddler rooms were designed to encourage and support independence, while strengthening social skills. Materials and developmentally-appropriate toys are easily accessible on open shelves. At the Super Stars Daycare and After-school Programs LTD we know that Toddlers are busy children, so they need open spaces to move and experiment with a variety of toys and equipment. Room color, natural lighting, a space to move and develop growing muscles, and variety of textures are in our program to inclusive physical environment for toddlers. We also have areas for small group activities with multiple toys that promote parallel and social play, will help the toddler develop decision making skills. Toddlers gain a sense of independence as teachers encourage them to feed themselves and introduce them to the potty. Teachers partner with families to assist in the potty training process to ensure consistency and provide a fun and smooth transition from diaper to toilet.
Our Preschool program is designed to provide a strong foundation for children to prepare them for Pre-Kindergarten and beyond. Positive social skills are essential for success in their future academic careers. Children in this program are encouraged to practice many self-help skills such as dressing themselves, serving themselves at meals and using the washroom. We focus on the philosophy that young children learn best through playing, exploring, experimenting and creating. Preschool children participate in many hands-on, integrated and fun learning activities. Each Preschool classroom has distinct learning centers which include: blocks, science, sensory, dramatic play, math & manipulatives, language, writing, computers, gross motor, music and creative art. Lesson plans and learning centers provide children with opportunities to expand their imaginations ,make choices, practice self-help skills and develop their language, listening and independent thinking skills.
Aware of the elementary content expectations, our curriculum provides extra attention to core subjects including math and language arts. Having a school readiness focus, teachers monitor each child’s development and work with children individually to prepare them for Kindergarten. At the Super Stars Daycare preschool rooms are designed for children to engage in large and small group activities while further enhancing ever-growing independent and self-help skills. Our preschool room have a large carpeted area for group socialization. Distinct and well-defined areas science, discovery area, literacy area, as defined by placement of furniture and equipment, will allow for self-directed guidance and facilitate the flow of activity within the room. A larger bathroom space and cubby area, with child-size amenities, will further enhance self-help skills.
Kindergarten children are typically half day at school so the care is provided before and after school, and during school holidays. We offer a relaxed environment with comfortable areas for quiet activity, small groups. Our room allow the creation or special project.
